The only thing I like to do more that quilt.....
Is talk about quilting. When I lecture to interested groups I bring 30 or more award winning quilts (that is, if you are with driving distance of 60510). Please contact me for complete pricing, and I am happy to offer workshop/lecture. I offer two lecture options-
The Creative Process
A look at what "creative" means. Can you learn to be creative? I believe so, and share my take on how to be more creative. This includes my "Top Ten Tips" for increasing your creative juices and I finish with "The Quilters Rap". Samples of my quilt patterns are also shown and patterns are available for sale.
The Care and Feeding of a Longarm Quilter
A humorous look at the relationship between a "topper" and a "quilter" What you can do to get the best results possible, and how to best work with your quilter to realize your vision. A large trunk show is slanted towards eye-popping quilting, and of course the rap and pattern samples are part of the fun!

Workshop options are almost limitless, here are a few...
I have taught almost everything from hand piecing to invisible applique by machine. If there is something you think your group would like to learn, let me know and I will tell you if I can teach it! Classes are $8 per hour per student with a minimum of 10, and usually a maximum of 20.

Invisible (Really!) Applique by Machine
4 or 6 hours Using the same technique as all the top competitors, even the closest scrutiny will have people complimenting your "hand applique" This method can be adapted to linens and clothing, too, but the emphasis is on quilting applications. See why I have won so many ribbons with this method.
Orange Peel by Hand
4 or 6 hours Draft your pattern and templates any size and learn to love hand piecing! Relaxing, portable, and much easier than applique on the eyes, especially in the car. Pieced continuously in rows, it is perfect for vacation, and this is a vintage look that everyone loves!
Build-a-Star Workshop
4 hours Whether you've paper-pieced before, or are ready to give it a try, this is a great class. We dissect the star elements and design a truly unique star, and using freezer paper allows us to sew without perforations, and we can reuse the foundations! No tearing paper!! That alone is worth the price of admission!
Freemotion Freedom
6 hours Nothing like putting the pedal to the metal and taking off with your machine! I take you back to the true fundamentals of freemotion, and train your brain. You will leave class with an idea of what you need to do at home to improve on what you learned. I've gotten many ribbons and quite a few of them are a result of quilting execution. Rev up those engines!
Piece Like a Pro
4 hours This class is designed for the intermediate quilter that is frustrated with getting great results with piecing. We'll take it apart and put it back together by examining your machine, cutting, pressing and sewing. Part lecture and part hands on, I guarantee you'll walk away saying "Oh my gosh, I didn't know that!!!"
